I read this HYSTERICAL post today on eating out with kids at nice restaurants (plus, there is a mention & photo of Paul Rudd: Talk about YUMMY). I showed the post to my coworker and she and I nearly howled out loud.

But it made me think: I have a feeling since air travel is so high that we'll be doing a lot of road trips this coming year instead.  My husband & I are foodies, and we love trying new places but of course will have the kids along.

We live on the east coast and so NYC, Philly, DC are all reasonable trips. Can anyone recommend good restaurants we can go to with the kids in each of these places so that we can put them in our files? We really like to try everything - gourmet, ethnic, etc.
