Urban Gypsy has some strong words about the Perverts Salon in NYC, a group where some sex bloggers get together- and she asked a question that I wondered about after the weekend at Blogher: Does the internet give people more of a forum to express their sexuality?
Specifically, she writes:
"Do people really still think men have higher sex drives than women, why is there such a proliferation of women-written sex blogs and a relative scarcity of those from a male point of view. I’ve never seen my blog as a means to bring about social change.
Now I wonder if owning my sexuality without guilt, shame or fear and putting it out there for the world to see, as well as being a part of a larger group that does the same thing, does indeed have a tiny influence on the world at large."
What do you think? Is the Net giving voice to women's views on sexuality, feminism, gender, social mores, whatever?
The obvious answer is yes--anyone care to comment?

Yes, yes, yes. However (and
Yes, yes, yes.
However (and while I don't mean to demean the fact that this perspective is being put out there), I think it has something to do with the anonymity allowed by the 'net.
