  1. Paul Newman On My Mind

This morning I woke to the news that Paul Newman succumbed to cancer. For several months, whenever I stood in line at grocery check out counters, I read about his final days at home in Stamford, Connecticut, with Joanne Woodward, his wife of over 40 years. In photos, he looked really old and really sick, yet still handsome.  Read more >

  2. They Loved You Tonight, Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin, you delivered the speech that they wrote for you in fine form, pointing your finger time and again just like Hillary used to, but I bet that the media won't call you on that pointing finger. After all, you are a  Read more >

About Me:

Celebrated my 65th and then 66th and 67th birthdays and haven't had a paying job in over two years. For all of 2009, I spent my days and evenings on Second Seating, an art installation that was about making art and also about raising the funds to do it, coordinating the other artists involved and promoting the show. Second Seating was open from September 24 through November 21, 2009. I've just found the 'next thing' as artist on an architectural team that is working on a Green Building Resource Center. I'm loving it all. I also commute to Seattle to visit very old parents and very young grandchildren. Living in the 'now' is better than just saying it, and manifesting the artist in me is a new full time kind of a job.
