  2. What exactly is "diversity"?

    What exactly does it mean? Is it ethnicity/race only? Is a predominantly white school "diverse" if these kids speak and indentify with a culture other than "mainstream Canadian/American" culture at home? What about socio-economic class?  Read more >

  3. How should one do that? I usually send a release once in a while to my media list updating them about information that I've posted on my blog. I don't usually get much feedback, and I assume that most of the releases I send to them get junked right away. How can I limit that? I really feel that my topics are relevant (e.g. petite women getting little attention from body image stories (from my Shorty Stories blog)and my take on the life of a child of immigrants (writing blog)), that the media talk about it a lot. Yet, I feel that my voice isn't heard. So, how can I make that change?  Read more >
