    Hello again!After a few emails suggesting the Old Spaghetti Factoy is Gastown in order to accomodate anyone who wanted to come, I think we have a winner for the pre-BlogHer meet up.We'll be meeting at 6 p.m. at the Old Spaghetti Factory (http://www.oldspaghettifactory.ca/locations/british_columbia/gastown%2Cv...) on Saturday, July 17th, 2010.     Hello, friends!When I saw the list of cities hosting a pre-BlogHer meetup and noticed that Vancouver wasn't listed, I fired Elisa an email to see if we could make one happen. My family and I are headed to the big city (we live in the Okanagan) from July 16th to the 21st and I can host a get-together.The late afternoon/evening of July 17th works the best for me, and I figured that a weekend would mean that more people might be able to attend.Here goes:1.     You have never made it easy for me. For as long as I can remember, I was referred to as a Big Girl. I was bigger than all of my friends. Taller, wider, thicker. I was a regular kid who liked candy and Pop Shoppe pop. My Mom loved me to a fault. She did not want to deny me anything, for fear that I would choose my Dad over her. Any food, any treat, was mine to be had. I was never denied anything. I had friends who were skinny. They could eat candy and drink pop and still retain those pencil-thin thighs. I am the Wife of one, and the Mommy to three amazing kids. I am an accountant by trade, who freelances as a writer and a photographer. People ask me how I get it all done; I tell them that clean bathrooms are overrated.

 

Something that might surprise you about me: Before I was married I rode a (fast) motorcycle (Kawasaki Ninja) but sold it to help pay for our wedding. Ten years and three kidlets later, I know it was the right decision. However ~ I *will* ride again.
