  7. Rebuilding Mobile Women's Health Clinics in Haiti

    PROFAMIL Haiti has provided sexual and reproductive health services in Haiti since 1984. This organization is part of a 40 member organization network called International Planned Parenthood Federation/Western Hemisphere Region (IPPF/WHR). The program in Haiti has three clinics, but the ones in Port-au-Prince, and Jacmel were completely destroyed by the earthquake as you can see by the photo below.    Read more >

About Me: 
If you want to learn more about me, read my blog, Beth's Blog. Beth Kanter is a nonprofit technology consultant working with nonprofits organizations in the areas of training, planning, research, curriculum development and evaluation. She has worked in the nonprofit sector for 25 years, beginning her work with nonprofit arts organizations. Her formal training is in the arts - she has a BA in music from Bennington College and studied classical flute at the New School of Music in Philadelphia. She has worked as an administrative staff member for New England Conservatory and Boston Symphony before assuming the post of general manager of the Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra. She worked as a management evaluator for the National Endowment for the Arts for its Challenge and Advancement Programs for over eight years. As a decade-long consultant with the New York Foundation for the Arts, she designed and managed many arts and technology programs, including Arts Wire where she served as the online community builder. She has worked with a wide range of nonprofit technology providers on a variety of projects over the past five years to the present, including N-TEN, Npower, CTCnet, Summit Collaborative, New York Alliance of Arts Organizations, Legal Services Corporation, CompuMentor, and others. She is on the board of the Sharing Foundation, an NGO that does development work in Cambodia, aimed at providing support, education, and care for young people. She has taught ESL in Cambodia for the Foundation's village school program and blogs about Cambodia for Global Voices and her own blog, Cambodia4kids. Her children, now 4 and 6, were adopted from Cambodia.
