9 People You Should Unfriend on Facebook

Before I joined Facebook, I wasn't sure what to expect, but it sounded like a fun way for people to connect with their friends. Instead of being a place where people can work on their virtual farms in peace, surrounded by their friends, it has become a source of stress for a lot of people. A recent article on CNN said 85% of women are annoyed by their Facebook friends. Why do we do this to ourselves? ...more

Caution: Your Kids Might Just End Up Just Like Their Parents

We've been having a problem with Wesley lately: He will stay up to all hours reading when he's supposed to be asleep. Yay for reading, of course, but the biggest problems are the aftereffects. He sleeps in the next morning and spends the rest of the day arguing and complaining....more

Why don't I just fold them and put them away, thereby avoiding the conflict? No, that wouldn't be winning. Enjoy more notes on home, family, and laundry stealing cats at My Spinning Plates....more

I was watching Nightline last night (no, the going to bed on time thing isn't working out, why do you ask?) and they had a story about Monet Parham suing McDonald's because they put toys in Happy Meals. *gasp* I know! When did that start?! Her main reasons: My baby is begging for unhealthy food just to get the toy....more

The Pro and Cons of Couponing

This will be a completely biased post because I never wanted to start couponing in the first place. My wonderful husband was regaled with tales of amazing money-saving by his coworkers. As far as I can tell, he deduced that what I needed more than anything was a hobby that required a lot of time and energy, because, you know, I had those in spades. After a couple of months of couponing, here I am declaring that I'm not going to do it anymore and he can't make me. Read more......more
