Making Your Blog Accessible for Blind Readers

This post is about accessibility of blogs for users who are blind. I realize that many of you are not aware of this issue, so my advice is not meant to offend. If you are doing anything that makes your blog inaccessible, don't feel that I'm nagging against you personally.I am an avid blogger. I use WordPess for my own blog, which is generally quite accessible using my screen reader. Blogger is a lot less accessible, but I'll get to that later.  Read more >

I am in my mid-twenties and live in the Netherlands. My hobbies include writing, surfing the Internet, and reading non-fiction. My main interests are psychology, social justice activism, particularly disability rights, politics, and a bit of health and medicine and anything allied. I have multiple disabilities and reside in an institution. My taste in music is not suited to my age, as I like mostly The Dubliners, The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel and Tom Lehrer. I like green apples, red peppers and anything toxic. ;)
