    The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) is bringing attention to the fact that it is legal in eight states and the District of Columbia for insurance companies to deny coverage due to previous instances of domestic violence.     i was on my way to work & listening to Howard Stern when he reported that he saw the 1st plane hit the first tower. He stayed on the air all morning & most of the afternoon. Every year, I like to repost what I wrote on that horrible day in time. Not everything I wrote was accurate, but at the time, the real truth was anybody's guess. My heart continues to go out to all of those who lost their lives, the families and friends they left behind, and our service men and women who had the job of saving the wounded and cleaning up the debris.  Read more >

    Recently, BlogHer had a contest for a $500 Visa gc asking about its readers' favorite birth story. As I have no children of my own, I only gladly relayed the story of my first time meeting my baby brother. I was 4 1/2 when he was born 3 weeks early. He actually arrived the day of my mom's surprise baby shower, as is evident by the pained expression in all her photos from that day.  Read more >

My main website is She Became a Butterfly. It shows my transformation through the years from a caterpillar to a free butterfly. I have poems, works of fiction, giveaways and reviews . . . some of everything!
