  3. Staying Warm in the Winter

    I grew up in a very arid, desert climate in the Southwestern United States.  Then I moved to the rainforest of the West Coast of British Columbia. Now, my chosen home is on the Canadian Prairies.      You want to be a good sweetie or friend, and get something really nice for the woman (women!?) in your life - but sometimes gift ideas for women are hard to come up with!  What will she like?  What does she need?  What's personal, but not too personal?  Jewelry, clothes, chocolate, cosmetics?I know personally that I usually shy away from buying cosmetics or skin care products for anyone other than myself - we can be kind of particular that way, with varying skin types and brand preferences.  But I've found something that I think will be a fantastic gift for any woman! Mereadesso Women One-Step Skincare  Read more >

    You know that "run around, hurry up, gotta get it done yesterday" routine that we all do when we have company coming? (Maybe that's just me..., anyway....) Well, we did that a couple of weeks ago before our guests arrived, and the tricky part was that the kiddos didn't know that company was coming. Something that might surprise you about me is: I really dislike popsicle sticks - totally can not stand the feel of a popsicle stick in my mouth.  Weird, I know!
