OK Where is Jeanne's mom? I must talk to her.
I already told her I was going to send her (and her post) your way!
  • : It would help if I got the acronym right -- WFTDA minimum skills!
  • : Roller derby tryouts a week from Sunday -- need to be "proficient in the WTFDA minimum skills" and kind of freaking out.
Did you know there's a Roller Derby group on BlogHer.com?
Yes, I'm one of the members!
    Yay! :-)
  • : Getting ready to liveblog the Vocation track! Check me out at the BlogHer Food Live-Blogging Forum!
  • : Where oh where has the green key gone??
    bottom of your purse
  • : Okay, I want to know -- who's planning on going to the Cubs game on July 26th?
Isn't that a rain out day?
I don't think so? It's the day game the Sunday after BlogHer, with the Reds visiting.
    Not me. ;-)
Don't mind me. I was giving a long range BlogHer forecast.
  • : I blame the patriarchy for my feelings regarding my upcoming birthday.
    Hah. Patriarchy stinks.
  • : Still on the roommate hunt. My place is super-cute! Awesome location! I have pictures! Anyone have leads?
If I lived in the bay area I'd move in with you. Err, well I would if I didn't have TW and a bunch of kids and stuff.
I have a swimming pool! And I'm right by the ballpark!
That ballpark thing is not a selling point for me, women and swimming pools is though. haha
  • : ...The first of my high school group of girls is getting married this summer. WHAT.
I'll be good. You to, Denise... be good. Jeanne, how do you feel about this?
It's more of a "but we're not grown-ups yet!!!" thing.
lol Jeanne, are you attending? Are you hoping to catch the bouquet?
It's going to be a family-only ceremony, then a restaurant-takeover with karaoke etc. in the evening. So no bouquets! (And the last time I was at a wedding, I purposefully sat out the bouquet toss.)
Yay for sitting out the bouquet toss! ;-)
Yup, sitting it out is good!
  • : I organized my bookshelf by color last night and realized... I need more books.
    Woohoo for arranging by colour!
Giggle. Love it. I am a trendsetter! (with help from sassymonkey) I wish I needed more books. Wait, I do need more books!
Really, it's more that I need more purple books, I think.
Purple books hmmm - Practical Demonkeeping, The Masque of the Black Tulip, Long May She Reign.
That or I get started on building up my DVD collection (also in color spectrum!).
Karen, do you know books by color off the top of your head? I'm impressed if so.
Doesn't everyone know books by color? I know those with bookshelves organized this way do, heh.
This weekend I organized by very general topics: Fiction on left, Nonfiction on right, Niches I Like a Lot as a stripe up the middle. Separate bookshelf for Food. Husb calls it the Julie Decimal System.
Purple books of mine: Cooking with Fernet Branca. String Figures and How to Make Them. My Color Purple is purple.
Oh yeah and Jeanne? I have 6 bags of donation books. What do you like?
Oh dang, I would have to take a look through! I do have a ton of books that I didn't move up, though...
