I am a list lover. (Those of you who remember the old BlogHer List Lovers group will not be surprised.) I make lists every day. Sometimes multiple times a day. I make them on paper. I make them in Evernote. I make them in my head. I am all lists, all of the time....more
For most of my life the yearly Girl Scout calendar was the only one I ever used. Once in awhile someone would give me a pretty wall calendar or a funny page a day calendar as a gift for Christmas but most of the time -- the trusty Girl Scout Calendar was enough. ...more
There are so many directions you can go when you're looking for great gifts for the artists in your life. Sometimes it's easy because the person you're buying for is really focused on one or two types of art. Sometimes it's harder because your artist has a lot of interests. That was also right about the time that I started thinking about altered books and art journaling, none of which Michelle ended up being interested in. So sad, I wasted that book. I should have bought it for myself!...more
I have named, or helped name, a lot of dogs and my life and I've never considered any of the things suggested in The Art of Naming a Dog. I'm a little surprised they didn't mention things like Scrabble name scores because they've covered pretty much every other naming issue possible. Sheesh, how silly.
