Encouragement All Around

With only forty days until the wedding, I am definitely starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.  I have been doing my best to enjoy my last carefree days before all the responsibility of being a real grown up gets here, but I’m just too excited!  This Saturday I had my first shower, and we had such a great time.  Keith’s aunts were kind enough to host a shower for his side of the family, and it could not have been sweeter.  I loved getting to meet so much of the family while they loved on us....more

Death is a Lie

We sang this in church this morning.  Sometimes I wish I could put all of you in my pocket (because my dress has pockets) and take you with me.  Just think about those lyrics for a second.  “Heaven is real, and death is a lie.”  I love that....more

Obligatory Goal Setting...with a twist

I’ve been debating on whether or not to even write a “New Years” post, but after reading about a million and five others, I thought, “I’ve got goals, why not share them?”  Also I read this wonderful post from Pretty Providence(one of my newer faves).  They speak directly to goal setting and how it should be SMART....more

How to be a Real Blogger

What is it about a holiday that makes us feel like we’ve lost five days and haven’t slept for ten?  I love Christmas (duh), but I’m writing this post at 7 p.m., and it feels like midnight!  I’ve been Christmasing for days and days and days, and taking just a few minutes to rest is so nice (understatement)....more

Out of Touch

I promise I’m alive!      I feel so out of touch with the world right now.  Everything has just been going a million miles an hour right now, and I’m struggling to keep up.  I won’t go so far as to say that I’m taking a hiatus from blogging, but if I were you, I wouldn’t be surprised if I wasn’t as familiar of a face for the next little bit.  ...more

Small Victories

You know what’s not cool or fun?  When anything happens to your teeth.  Now I try not to be a complainer because whiney bloggers get on my nerves, but in the interest of full disclosure…let’s get real for a minute.        I may or may not have mentioned my tooth incident about a year ago.  Long story short: ear infection, faint, hardwood floor, broken tooth.  (I’ve always been proud of my teeth, so this was kind of a humongous deal.)  Well, this su...more

I Know and I Don't

I loved doing this last week, and I am so excited to keep up with it! Here goes... I know that it's winter....more

Matrimonial Musings

Even though we are in the very, very early stages of thinking about the wedding, I still have about a million ideas running through my head…and across my Pinterest.  We won’t start doing anything concrete for several months, but I thought I might share some general ideas with you for what I’m thinking....more

I Feel Like Sally Field like me.  You really, really like me!  I'm not sure if y'all have seen the Liebster Blog Award floating around, but sweet Sarah at Sing and Don't be Silent nominated me for the award.  I was so (pleasantly) surprised, and really honored, that she thought of me.  Thank you, Sarah!  I am really looking forward to ...more
