Why, hello there! Thanks for stopping by my profile! Can I get you something to drink? Some snacks? Just let me know. In the meantime, here's a little bit about me:
I am a wife, mom, writer, dog owner, group fitness instructor, part-time salon coordinator, Chicago native, and a total control freak. I am the author of the children's book Remembering Ruby: For Families Living Beyond the Loss of a Pet. My boys are teenagers, which means I deal with all kinds of crazy on a regular basis. You can read my random ramblings at my blog, Suburban Scrawl. Come and visit; you'll make my day!
Something surprising about me: At the age of 8, instead of pre-choreographing my solo ballet dance for a parent recital, I improvised it. To Barry Manilow's "Mandy". Ugh.
If you can't get enough of me at my main blog, you can find some great (if I do say so myself) reviews over at Suburban Scrawl Reviews & Stuff. Also, what the heck, go read the blog that supports the livestream chat show I do every other week with Weaselmomma, which coincidentally has the same name as that silly little show, Suburban WoW. Follow me on twitter @melisalw.
If you want more, you stalker you, find my posts about music at The Music Mamas (I'm one of the originals!). I'm also proud to be a contributor at The Chicago Moms, and I write a hyper-local blog for Chicago Now (part of the Chicago Tribune Media Group), called Next Door Naper, which is all about parenting teens and family events in Naperville and the surrounding suburbs.
So why are you still HERE? Don't you have some of my blogs to read?
