In spite of the fact that we seem to be incredibly busy (who isn’t?), I am very happily married to my rock and college sweetheart, Steve Wendland. Steve is a civil engineer and strives to balance out all of my many quirks. I might say “to-may-to”, and he may say “to-mah-to”, but he’s the best thing that ever happened to me, bar none.

Next on that list would be our two teenage daughters, who keep us hopping on one foot most of the time. They help me remember that being a kid was not as easy as we often make it out to be. Of course, I do my best to remind them that they’ve got it pretty good, too.

When I’m not writing, you might find me drinking a nice glass of red wine on the patio and reading a good book. Yes, I know that may sound boring, but the rest of the time, it’s zero to 60 in about six seconds, so “patio time” makes for a nice break!
