About Me: 
Adele Nieves is a journalist, activist, writer, blogger and speaker, focusing on politics, women's justice and race. She is Essence of Motown's "2007 Writer/Author of the Year;" for her continued hard work, literary creativity, and her efforts to improve Michigan's literary community. Adele is an editor and contributing writer for Critical Moment Magazine. She also writes a monthly column for Women of Color (Yo Soy Mujer!) for Think Girl Monthly, and is a member of the SPEAK! and Cyberquiliting Experiment Collectives.
Adele is a strong supporter of minority rights, an advocate for diversity and active within women of color/people of color communities. She is now compiling and accepting submissions for an anthology, tentatively titled This is What a Radical Woman of Color Looks Like! Real stories by Radical Women of Color and Allies and co-partnering in a production company, Liquid Words Productions, LLC.
