I'm a full time parent and part time editor/communications/media nerd who has an irrationally disproportionate love of and fascination with food, food politics, environment, and public health.  I live on a tiny island with little in the way of professional work, so part time contracting and blogging are my endeavors to keep the the old noggin working!  I write at my blog, a collective of cooks/writers, www.kitchenmirror.blogspot.com and read (no, devour) the writings of so many wonderful food bloggers out there.  I also host my own supper club of sorts every Tuesday.  I'm interested in food, nutrition, agriculture, sustainability, food security, hunger, school nutrition, family traditions, and on and on...

I'm an avid outdoors person, so when I'm not glued to the computer reading all of your wisdom and wit, I'm outside in the garden, on a trail, in a kayak, on a rock, or otherwise enjoying the beautiful island life I've been lucky enough to live.
