Moments of Hermitude

What exactly is hermitude? According to me, hermitude is the act of or need to withdraw oneself from their surroundings and circumstances in order to sort of hide or regroup - like a hermit crab.If you Google hermitude, you will find that there is actually a hip hop group out there that goes by that name. Ask Kate - Lies of the Lottery

A few days ago I was travelling on business and stopped into a gas station to refill the car and grab something to snack on. I picked out my favorites - a cold Coca Cola and some of those yummy Mini Sweet Tarts. I took my place in line to check out, which happened to be about three places back. Sleep Deprivation and a Dirty House

One of my very favorite things to do is read. I tend towards spurts. Meaning I can go weeks without reading and then I'll go weeks without stopping. I am currently coming out of a "spurt without stopping." Spurts of that sort result in sleep deprivation, a pile of TV to watch, and a dirty house. I believe it's totally worth it....more
