  2. Our School Are Burning Up

Our schools are on fire and nobody can figure out how to put out the flames to save the lives of the children. Our schools are burning out of control and the match that is igniting the fire is bullying. Here are some of the reasons why bullying is out of control:  Read more >

  3. Family Law: Not!

There is no reason why divorce should equate to destruction.Divorce is defined as “an ending of a marriage by an official decision in a court of law.” Ending is defined as “the final part or finishing point of a period of time, of an event, or of a book, movie, or other work.” Destruction is defined as “the act or process of destroying something.” Amicable divorces are rare and that needs to change for the sake of the children and both parents.  Read more >

  4. Children and Divorce

The saddest thing about divorce is the fact that the children are hurt so terribly when bitterness, anger and desire to hurt the ex-spouse come into play.I receive countless emails from women who are devastated because of the pain that has been inflicted on their children. There are so many places and people out there to support them and offer information.  Read more >

  6. A Mother's Marathon

A Mother's Marathon It’s all about the times in your life. My first time experiencing a marathon or half marathon to be precise, brought tears to my eyes and a song to my heart today for so many reasons. I was in the crowd of watchers because my daughter was competing in her first half marathon. My heart was pounding as I watched the runners, unsure of where my daughter’s face would appear. With camera in hand, I took videos of people running, waiting for that special moment when I would see my daughter run by.  Read more >

  8. Overweight and Overwrought!

We recently heard about a twelve year old boy who weighs 222 pounds and has a waist size of 48.5 inches. Because of teasing and bullying, this boy's parents decided to home school him. He has begged his parents to help him lose the weight. His hope is that he will lose the weight and be able to go back to school without being teased. He just wants to be treated like the other kids.  Read more >

  9. WHAT CAN PARENTS DO TO KEEP THEIR KIDS SAFE FROM BULLIES?

Parents should be open to the fact that bullying does exist and that their child might be a target, a bully, a bystander or a combination of the three. Since bullying takes on all forms and attacks all kinds, parents should keep communication open and watch for the signs that might indicate that their child could be a target or a bully or both.  Read more >

  10. Bullies: Sound The Alarm

Bullies: Sound the Alarm  Is your child the target, the delinquent or the spectator?  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says that suicide is the third leading cause of death in fifteen to twenty four year olds, surpassed only by accidents and homicide. Suicide is the third leading cause of death for young people aged 15 to 24 and the fourth leading cause of death for children between the ages of 10 and 14.   Read more >

About Me:

I am 58 and in the second half of a wonderful life. I have been a stay at home mom with four children for more years than I care to remember. About 7 years ago, my husband called it "quits" and moved on to greener, younger pastures. I sank to the bottom but, guess what? I am happier and better for it! I am a writer, a coach, a speaker and a mentor. I have pledged to give back because of all that I have been given. I have several books that are in the publishing process. I have a website geared to helping women and specifically moms to prepare for the "what ifs" that they may encounter. www.claudiabroome.com I have a website geared to children with speecial needs and am on a mission to wipe out bullying. www.rugbyjones.com
