  2. I wrote a post recently mourning the loss of a soap opera veteran. She was the matriarch of a show I watched with my grandmother, when I was a girl.  My nanny called her soap operas "her stories".  She got me hooked on Days of Our Lives.  I blame my mother for getting me hooked on Dark Shadows and The Young & the Restless. I can only blame myself for General Hospital.   Read more >

When I began blogging, my sole means of expression was, well, posting on my blog.  I felt a sense of community when I was involved in dialoging with my own readers, and other blogger's as well.   Then I became aware in an increase in group blogging.  Online forums were cropping up, and much community was enjoyed.  Read more >

  4.  I just read a very disturbing article about a convicted rapist who disguised himself as a teenaged boy, befriending a young girl on FB, and then arranging a "meeting" with the girl. He picked her up in his car, then raped and murdered her.    Read more >

  5. I have a daughter who has stars in her eyes.  I can say absolutely NOTHING because I tormented my parents with the same dream.  Except that I limited myself to just wanting to be Miss America. But that pesky talent competition was my biggest obstacle.  Read more >
