  1. Divorce and stuff

Can't sleep, don't want to wake R up before I have to - he's due in the gym at 7 and then is on a course. So I thought I'd come down here, mark a few books, blog a bit, and now I'm sat here, and there's nothing through my brain! Writers block? Hardly. Writers block should be something that lasts ages, that involves angst and wailing and gnashing of teeth. This is a temporary hiatus in the artistic flow. LOL  Read more >

  2. Not the end of the world?

http://itwillallbefine.blogspot.com/2009/02/its-been-hard-few-days.html   I've been blogging again for a while again, mainly due to a new laptop for my birthday.  I've never had a laptop of my own before.   Anyway, I have.   And I've been part of NaBloPoMo  which has encouraged me to blog more.  I want to blog.  I think long bloggy posts in my head during the dull work hours.  Between all these things, I shall blog to my hearts content.  Read more >

  3. Simple day really.

There is a storm rippling around us at the moment.  For a while, I was sitting in the almost dark, typing on here, listening to the thunder roll.  Today has been a wonderful day, in which I have felt blessed and loved.  We went to the Environment Day in the Walks, a park near us.  R, AC, Charlie-Paul and his girls.  I made a simple picnic of ham sandwiches, homemade cake, homemade choc-chip biscuits, crisps and squash.   Read more >

  4. Fabulous Day

Utterly Fabulous Day! So life is good. Yesterday afternoon, after a brief spat with 3mobile, we went back into town.  As of next Tuesday I will have one of these phones http://www.3g.co.uk/PR/August2006/3443.htm Or possibly it's more updated brother.  3 have a different name for it slightly, but this is what it was!  Read more >

  5. Finally letting him go

It's been weird since R got back safely.  It's been good, don't get me wrong, but yesterday I worked out why it was weird.  I've been worried about him almost constantly for almost 3 years.  In fact, just over 3 years, since his marriage started to fall apart and so many lies were told about him. I digress.  Read more >

  6. Nigel Slaters's Chocolate Brownies

This recipe is a glorious Nigel Slater recipe, I found whilst stooging the net late one night.  It would be almost physically impossible without a food mixer (I love my Kenwood!) and I've had to change the chocolate to lower cocoa solids.  Ok, I changed the chocolate involved to Tesco Value Dark Chocolate.  I'm not made of money, and at only 30% cocoa solids I might be actually able to taste this.  I used ordinary caster sugar as well, and where it says . tsp of baking powder I used half a tsp as a best guess, as I had used self raising flour.  Read more >

  7. Service of Celebration

Today was a long and slightly weird day.  It was a good day, it was a very emotional day, it was everything it should have been. Today we said out final goodbyes to Grandma's mortal remains at the Crematoriam at 10am, and then lunch at church at 12, Service of Celebration at 2.30, then tea and cake afterwards.  Read more >

  8. From Red Arrows to Vulcans, via Typhoons.

Oh my word. Today was a marvellous day. Today needed to be a marvellous day, for tomorrow we cremate my grandmother, but more of that another time. Like tomorrow. Today, was amazing.    Read more >

  9. Ex's

I just left this as a post on someone elses blog.  One day I'll work out how to do the link thing, then you can read it too.    I left my first husband because of his drinking and the plan was, as agreed with his father and mother, that they would leave him alone also, he would hit rock bottom, and we would be there to support him as he started to rise again.  His mother backed out on the deal and as soon as she saw him suffering she moved him back to her house.  I became the Evil Queen, and that was that.  Read more >

  10. DeBlogged?

I just had my emails back from BlogHer.  One of my blogs the URL doesn't work, (well I probably mis-typed it!) and the other needs a password.  Now I didn't realise, but that makes it not pulic access. I can't remember why it's set to that, and tbh, it probably has something to do with the She-Ex, but it made me think about blogging, and why I do it, and why on here, I seem to have a different style of blogging to anywhere else I have ever blogged.  Read more >

About Me:

Bio's are always tricky.

Who am I?

In order of importance?

A mother to a 5 year old boy, known in the blogosphere  as the Adorable Child - simply because he is.

Partner to R, my OH.  There are issues there, because his daughter, known as the Beautiful Girl, because she is, is in the States.  She is 6.

He and I have a She-Ex and a He-Ex respectively.  Actually, and if you want to get technical, I have 2 He-Ex's but I never hear from one of them.

I am also easily distracted as you can tell!

I am a teacher who teachers 7/8/9yr old children, but a lot of them have special needs, several with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, and at both ends of the spectrum.  In order to accomodate next years intake, I also need to learn Makaton, which is a very basic sign language.

I'm Christian, in the middle of changing churches to go back to my roots.

My main idea in life though is that it will all be fine.  All of it.  Whatever *it* is, it will all be fine. Because to be quite honest, the other option is just ridiculous.
