    The fifth anniversary of my sister's death is approaching in just two days.  I've experienced this date four times already but it still causes difficulites for me.  I know that July is coming in early June when my mind refuses to acknowledge the date.  June 15, 21, 28...days  just go by without my mind actually registering the number.   Read more >

    My sister Kelly and I have been coordinating the National Patient Safety Day vigil in Cleveland, Ohio for the past four years.  Before July 29, 2003, our family never really paid attention to the quality problems plaguing healthcare.  I had read the headlines or heard stories on television, but I never really thought anything like those stories could affect me.  Read more >

About Me: 

My sister Kelly and I founded a company in 2007 called Luna's Light.  We were inspired to help others heal from the loss of a loved one after our sister Shannon died suddenly in 2003.  We chose to channel our emotions and feelings creatively which resulted in unique and personal keepsakes that anyone can use after a loss of a loved one.  As two women whose hearts were broken from the death of our sister, we want to remind everyone that "even on the darkest night, you are not alone!"
