  1. Well, at least my husband thinks I'm hot--without the Mommy Makeover

I got asked at a birthday party this afternoon if I was pregnant. This isn't the first, or the second, or even the third or fourth time I've been asked that WHEN I'M NOT PREGNANT. The first time it happened, I quipped, "No, I'm just fat." I was more civil today, and brushed it off, with "No we're done.  Read more >

  2. No thanks, I'd rather be pregnant?!

I had the Mirena IUD put in about 10 days ago. Three days later I was begging my doctor to take it out. I was having a host of side-effects, the most disconcerting was difficulty breathing, on top of headache, super fatigue (like early pregnancy), total brain fog (would read things over and over again and not comprehend), and overall, general bitchiness, if you can consider that a side effect.  Read more >

  3. Help me build my blogroll

I've realized that my blogroll is slim at best. Truth is, I have a hard time getting around. My husband already gives me a hard enough time for how much I'm on my computer, not to mention my 2-year-old who has mastered the phrase "close computer." But seriously, I'm looking for a few smart, funny, engaging, insightful blogs out there for me to connect with and promote on my site, but I don't have the time to scour the blogosphere. So...if you have some ideas, please let me know.  Read more >

Since shopping season has begun, I thought I'd share a few gift ideas. Read about the Kidizoom, Robert Mondavi Wine Glasses, and more here.  Read more >

  5. Jessica Seinfeld's Deceptively Delicious

I bought Jessica Seinfeld's Deceptively Delicious several weeks ago (despite my inner rebel telling me not buy a recipe book written by someone who got a publishing deal just because she married someone famous). And, I finally got around to making a few things the past couple days. So far, I've tried the Sweet Potato Pancakes and Devil's Food Cake (with pumpkin and yogurt), which has been met with Ry's glowing approval.... 6. Changing the World

I was supposed to be at the Tech Laureate Venture Network downtown this morning. This is where potential investors and press mingle around with innovators from around the world creating technology that benefits humanity. I wrote a story about the Tech Awards a few years back, so I'm still on the invite list.  Read more >

  7. Eat Pray Love

I read Elizabeth Gilbert’s Eat Pray Love a couple weeks ago. Which I was enjoying immensely until I saw her on Oprah. This is not to say that I was disappointed by anything she said or who the live person was, that was quite the contrary. It was just the fact that she was on Oprah that bugged. I know the book is a national bestseller, but still, when I was reading it, I couldn’t help but feel like she wrote this book for me and a few others in some kind of “I want to find God but, be myself too, club.” Read more at http://gratitude365.blogspot.com/2007/10/eat-pray-love.html  Read more >
