I have been at home recovering from a Bone Marrow Transplant for 3 years. Prior to that I was a 6th grade English and Social Studies teacher. I LOVE being a teacher and greatly miss the classroom. Blogging and message boards have opened a whole new world to me. I love reading and crafting. Currently I am learning to make more detailed jewelry.

Something that would surprise people about me: I am still afraid of things under the bed! I deliberately store things under there so there's no room for monsters, and if I get out of bed in the middle of the night I leap to get as far from the bed as possible, and leap back in!
