Yo. How U doin’? My name is Christa Scalies (ryhmes with police), Chief Inspiration Officer & Founder of Giggle On. I love encouraging people (including myself) to stress less and laugh more.

Giggle On!® is a call to action to embrace joyful mojo and laugh with wild abandon regardless of how many lemons, deaths, diseases and disappointments life throws your way.

This site began as a way for me to share my personal story of depression, grief and transformation after my friend Jim Thompson’s suicide. Some label me as a “survivor of suicide” and in many ways, I am…but I prefer to call myself a thriver.

Since starting the site in the spring of 2008, I lost another friend to suicide, Jim Sims. Jim Sims introduced me to the  phrase, Get Your Giggle On, which simply means: Laugh & have fun!

My mantra for living life is: Don’t Give Up! Giggle On! This is a part anti-suicide/perseverance message mixed with my laughter message. On bad days, this mantra motivates me to stay positive.
