My husband and I got together when we were 18; 12 years later, in November 2006, we got married. We always figured we had plenty of time to start a family, but have been trying since our marriage and have not even seen a glimmer of that elusive second line on a pregnancy test.

Despite its lack of success, my journey has thrown up a whole lot of stuff that, had we got pregnant immediately, I would never have known. Like, how to tell you are ovulating using just your cervical mucus, what the inside of my empty uterus looks like on a 3D scan, what thrilling your chi with acupuncture feels like, and I've 'met' a whole lot of folk in the blogosphere going through the same thing, which I have found incredibly supportive.
