    Sarah Granger and Valerie Jarrett

It's not every day that I receive e-mail from someone at the White House, so when they contacted me last Monday about interviewing Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett in San Francisco, I had to scramble to make it work. The typical working mother's dilemma: I was planning to pick up my daughter at school that day at 3:05. Time of interview: 3:10. With my husband out of town, I sent out a series of messages seeking someone who could pick up my daughter.  Read more >

    Political volunteer

Not happy with how things turned out in the 2010 election? Or excited and fired-up by the results? Either way, it's not too early to start thinking about how to get involved for 2012. 6. Must-Read Political Blogs by Women

    Vote 2010 sign

So many amazing blogs written by women cover politics these days that it's become virtually impossible to find, list, organize or categorize them all. While some have tried, the content shifts often enough that any list built six months ago is already obsolete. After working on researching and building this list for nearly a month, rather than attempting to include every angle and everyone, I finally gave up.  Read more >
