    The Cross casts a dim shadow on this day. A shadow ~ absence of light ~ has a meaning only in the context of light and contrast. When I find myself in the shadow of an object, I know that light shines beyond this object. If the object had any degree of translucence, the light would shine through it, diminishing the shadow. I spent the afternoon and evening contemplating and considering this today. I longed to explore this train of thought, this seed of inspiration.   2. Five (5) Thoughts

    1. I trained as a nurse, and worled health care for almost 10 years. I spent 6 years as an RN and 4 years before that as a Nurses' Aide. I worked in personal care homes and hospitals. I worked in the city and in the country. I even did some sommuinity nursing. Eventually I gave it all up ~ it became too much. I felt as though nursing required me to play tennis under water while juggling with explosives. After three years of absence from the profession, I (now) contemplate a return.  Read more >

About Me: 

I'm Tinkerbell ... the bipolar faery. Legend attributes the extremes in my moods to my diminutive size. Small faeries like me can only feel one emotion at a time ~ so we can't counter one strong emotion with another to achieve a balance. Okay, that's just the stuff of legend and myth. Its true, though, that i do have special faery dust which, when sprinkled on gravity-bound creatures, makes them fly.

SERIOUSLY, tho' ... I began blogging 3 years ago in the wake of professional and personal burnout. I wanted to find myself, and my purpose. I harboured so much rage and negative energy @ that time. Back then I had no idea how richly rewarding and life changing blogging would become. Over the years I have met a tapestry of characters from all over the globe. The evolution of my blog has mirrored my own self-development. My blog has become a depository for my thoughts about my emerging creative muse and about sustaining her spirit.
