  2. Work-Life Out of Balance? Try Flow Instead

Work life balance is a myth for many people. Sixty percent of executives report working at least 50 hours per week. That doesn't include the additional time they spend thinking about work. Ten percent work more than 80 hours per week. This situation is even more intense for 92% of working women who go home after a full day of work and manage household and family responsibilities. So how do we cope? The answer is flow, but flow is better than mere coping. It's about enjoying and finding meaning in what we and doing what we enjoy and find meaningful. About Me:

Greetings -    I'm Dr. Anne Perschel, President of Germane Consulting a coaching and organization development firm.  By profession I am a leadership and organizational psychologist and an expert in the field of women's leadership.  In 2007 my company was recognized by Count Me In for Women's Economic Independence for research on how women are changing leadership practices and a  leadership model that integrates feminine and masculine attributes. I am also a Master Executive Coach with Mass School of Professional Psychology Coach Certification Program and have extensive experience as an organization change consultant. As thought leader of Germane Consulting's women's division, I collaborate with senior managers to maximize the competitive advantage of talented women by creating programs that ensure their contribution, success, promotion and retention.

I live with my husband Bob and cutest ever best friend Pomeranian Monty.  Our 19 year old son, Jordan, is a student at Miami University of Ohio.  I am a definite "gym rat", a runner in the Spring and Summer, enjoy movies, books, long lazy dinners with friends, and love my work.  I enjoy being around and interacting with children - often discovering poetry in their words and dance in their movements.  I love the water and everything about it - sounds, sights, smells, feel and look forward every year to that first walk on the beach - bringing with it joy, breath, and renewal.
