  1. Knitting and Crocheting, Can and DOES make a difference in peoples' lives.

    I knit and crochet, though lately haven't been able to.  Did much of it while Mom was so sick in the hospital prior to her death.  So now, I have to force myself...needs to associate it again with more pleasant things.  Am working though on a blue and green scarf (crocheted) that will go to the homeless group.  Many in the group make hats, scarfs, and some mittens.  We've been donating them to a local homeless group.   If you're looking for a worthy charity, helping hands are always welcomed.  Read more >

  2. Different types of care giving, next phase

    My mother had been ill for about 6 months or so.  Several long and difficult hospital stays and rehab stays, ended just recently in her death.  During that time care  giving was visiting her for long difficult hours, being the go between with doctors and nursing and other family members and keeping my Dad company.  Read more >

About Me: 

I'm happily married going on 37 years!  I have one practically perfect daughter whom I adore.  I consider myself very lucky in life to have a happy and fullfilling life.  I love to knit and crochet and make all kinds of things, 99% of which is donated to lots of different charities.  It's my way of doing something I like, and at the same time beneifting someone else.  I love to photograph and document gravestones; though never seem to be caught up with either of these passions.  My family is very important to me, though I just a week ago lost my mother.  She had a good and full life, suffered terribly at the end, and so while I miss her; am glad she is no longer suffering.

 

I like to learn new things here on the computer, though often find it takes me a while to understand the techy stuff.  I LOVE blogging and have met some very nice people as a result.  It's a great way to connect.
