I'm a California girl, originally, recently transplanted to New York from Prague, where I worked in publishing and teaching, and tried to understand my Czech in-laws. From castles to fried cheese, I've seen it all, and loved it!

Prior to Prague, I lived in Israel, where I wandered around markets full of spice pyramids and pillowy pitas. Prior to that, I lived and taught in Colorado. From a blue Rockies skyline to a gleaming Manhattan one, I'm adjusting to life in the U.S. and feeling like an immigrant in my own country. It's exciting and bewildering. I hope you'll join me. :)
