If I knew where to begin, I likely wouldn't be blogging.
I am simultaneoulsy the Reluctantly Working Mom and the Inept Working Mom. I like my job. I like being a mom (better). Some women manage career and motherhood with aplomb. I am decidedly not one of them. (And I'm pregnant with a second child, so let the madness begin!)
So I'm reluctantly working because I'm inept at the work-mommy balance thing - but the desire to eat and to live indoors keeps me on my employers payroll....
I'm a scanner - I don't know what I want to be when I grow up. I'm kinda scattered but learning to live with it. I never intended to be a writer of any sort, but I've always been a grammar snob - something I share with my brother, thanks to our mom. So I guess I also because an accidental writer through my insistence on correcting others' writing and/or insisting upon doing it myself so that I wouldn't have to. (I SAID snob.)
I'd like to work for myself, writing and editing. So I started a blog 1) for writing practice, 2) to help me cope with my ineptitude with working and mommying. I write about my work-home challenges and - currently - my challenges with my second, high-maintenance pregnancy.
