  1. Get Off The Phone, Soccer Parents

    Soccer Kids

The oldest boy is playing soccer. The kind of soccer where they actually have practices and games and as a parent you have to go. He's so excited he can't see straight. He's also not very good at it. That's fine. The boy isn't all that athletic. Maybe he'll grow into it. Maybe he won't. But he's having fun, and he thinks he's good and loves it. To me, that's what it's all about at this stage in the game.  Read more >

  2. What a Difference a Doctor Can Make

My friend Michele commented to me last night that I must've been really busy because I hadn't posted in a week.I think I was pre-occupied.The twins had their evaluation with our new superfly pediatrician. The entire process took over TWO hours...which is most likely the longest any medical professional EVER looked at them. We sat and talked about what they can and what they cannot do and she made like a bazillion notes.  Read more >

  3. How to Get Immediate Attention In the ER - Bleed All Over Them

I'm only sitting up right now, because my back is screaming from so much laying down. I promise not to sit up long. But It's killing me. Okay........the miscarriage update......  Read more >

  4. MAN What Did He Do?

post scriptI only wish I could've snapped for you a pic of the "I got me a L'Oreal Chunking highlights kit from 1994 in both red and blonde and I look hot now that the bastard is gone" female that this vehicle attached to. Dear God - I suspect he fled in terror.  Read more >

  5. Motivation

"How do you motivate people?"I've been asked this multitudes of times recently. Standard interview fare I suppose. I always say the same thing - I learn why they are here, why they are doing what they are doing. It seems like such a simple answer but people are always surprised. I'm not surprised, though. Not knowing why people are doing what they are doing can be damaging.  Read more >

  6. Ellen Degeneres Just Rocked the Fashion World

Sure it's only Cover Girl and their makeup is shite. But still, it's a major fashion flip - they took someone mature, with a real brain, with real unique style and beauty and made her a COVER GIRL? I'm thrilled- I'm delighted. I seriously almost CRIED I was so touched.  Read more >

  7. Fashion Sense for Blogher 08 in Second Life

" mce_src=" I finally picked up the free tshirts for this year's Blogher in Second Life event. What to do with a free tshirt? I don't WEAR Tshirts In World for the most part, except for my PRIM WHORE shirt from Weird Shit so really.....now what? I'm speaking this year - I'm kind of OBLIGATED to do something with this aren't I? TA DA! I figured it out!  Read more >

  8. Say AHHHHHHH

One of the many perils of new parenthood - as many of you know and many more will find out, is the danger of getting pooped and peed on. It happens. Once you are a seasoned old Road Warrior like me lugging about three kids under the age of 2 you never even flinch at the occasional misplaced bodily fluid. As they age, these instances wane in frequency and that's a good thing - as you can imagine.Heck - by the time you get to where you are lugging around a 5 year old and two 4 year olds you never even much think about it.....it just doesn't HAPPEN that much if at all.    Read more >
