My name is Irene. I am a thirty-four year-old NYC native. I am married and have a two-year-old daughter. At the end of 2007 I decided that I no longer wanted to be the fat, lazy woman in my daughter’s life. There was nothing wrong with me. I didn’t have nay injuries, no thyroid issues – heck – I wasn’t even an emotional eater. I just didn't care. In January 2008 I started watching what I ate, and exercising. I put in 4-5 days a week at the gym, doing aerobics, strength training, and swimming. I also began jogging. In one year I lost 40 pounds. In 2009, I plan on losing the final 47 pounds. It’s not easy, by any means, but it’s fun and I have seen nothing but good results. I ask you to visit my blog regularly. It's not simply about losing weight.
