    When I first started using social media, Facebook came easy. It is pretty self explanatory and easy to network with others with like interests. Twitter came next and although it looked confusing and overwhelming at first, once you dive in, it really is easy.   5. Womens Procurement Program

    The U.S. Small Business Administration came through for women in small business this past Friday by opening up a program called the Women’s Procurement Program which set aside $30 billion dollars in federal funds to be available specifically for women owned small business contracts. This is a big opportunity for women owned small businesses and to see if you meet the qualifications you first have to have a business that is mostly(at least 51%) owned and operated by a woman or women who are U.S. citizens.  Read more >

    I have run across several articles lately based on this recent research study by  The Guardian Life Small Business Research Institute. Their study showed that women business owners value social media three times more than their male counterparts.
