About Me:

I am an internet community zealot. I have worked online since 1995. I have several personal blogs, way too many feeds in my reader.

I am passionate about my family and online community.

I work as a Community Moderator for Mother Nature Network and also work for the BlogHer Publishing Network.

Something that may surprise you about me: I don't really like to cook. I love my hair. I want to be a college football coach.

I always wanted a home birth.

Unsurprising to some but fascinating to others: My competitive streak landed me both of the people I have had long-term relationships with and their birthdays are a week apart.

Our home has pictures of our ex-es...and sometimes those have been on our bedside tables, entertainment center, and refrigerator. Neither of us thought this odd until there was a discussion online somewhere about someone who still had pictures of their ex sitting out.

Assorted Personal Facts:

We have a blended family of six children--from all grown up and married down to middle school aged. My mother lives with us. We have three prairie dogs, a bird (my high school daughter's), a dog (my mother's).
