Vampires and Social Media: Interview with Director of The Vampire Diaries

So, let me preface this by saying two things:
1. If you don't know me, I am a humongous dork.
2. There is a reason I normally operate behind the camera.
BUT, with those things in mind, this post is obviously not about me. It's about that crazy good (it's okay to admit you love it) piece of television called The Vampire Diaries. And how I had a chance to ask one third of the creative trifecta behind the mega-hit anything I wanted, so we talked about how they pass the time on snow days, playing two species at once (wait, are vampires a different species? how about werewolves?) and how social media connects film makers to fans like never before, because....well he refuses to tell me who else might be dead (or undead) after the next episode airs.
The HE in question here is Marcos Siega -- Director/Producer of The Vampire Diaries, who has guided the show from its pilot episode right up through last week's sobfest. He's also my good buddy, former boss, and mentor.
So without further ado, this is what happens when you ask to interview your friends and they're all: "Okay, I'm free RIGHT NOW!" And then you have to do your first professional video interview ever in your pajamas with unbrushed hair and hope for the best.
But still, watch it. There's totally some gems in there for TVD fans. (And also for fans of me looking like a tool on video. There's plenty for you to sink your teeth into as well. Pun obviously intended.)
So? What did you think of last Thursday's episode? I laughed. I cried. I thought Damon had grown a heart for a second. Or I wished it. Either way...I think I was wrong.
