Visiting the gorgeous Ringling Museum…When can I move in?!

Origionally posted on thegypsywife.com

Hey guys! I’m back! So sorry for the long absence. It was difficult to focus in the weeks leading up to my husband’s deployment. I really needed to take the time to be with my family and get through those dreaded goodbyes.

We’re getting settled into our new routine and I’m back and ready to attempt some sort of normalcy in my life.

My absolute favorite part of my trip home was the Ringling Museum in Sarasota. It’s a Blue Star Museum which means it the admission is absolutely free for military families.

We had the opportunity to tour John Ringling’s home which show cases stunning 1920s architecture and style. We also toured the circus museum, which is full of vintage costumes and other circus stuff from The Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey’s Circus. Finally, we browsed the Ringling art museum which currently showcases the Witness to War exhibit. It’s a must see gallery featuring photographs from World War II.

Enjoy my photos and make sure you take advantage of the Blue Star Museum initiative. It’s a fantastic way to do something fun and educational with your family.
