Wardrobe Essentials

I love shopping. Make-up, clothes, toiletries and food. I'm here for it. I'm a night owl but I will wake up at the crack of dawn for some retail therapy. I find now that my style is evolving. I'm into blazers, nice tailored tops, long flowy skirts and baggier jeans. I'm also enjoying scarves because they're multi-functional. Read below on some of the staples I'm rocking now.

Cardigans - I have a few of these in my closet now. I tie them around my waist or wear them over a basic shirt or blouse. They're easy to carry around in a purse and can update your look in a matter of minutes.

Scarves - I have a few in various colors that I use to wrap around my head for use as turbans. I experiment with different styles so I don't get bored with my look.

Shoes - I was in Old Navy about a month ago and my hubby suggested I purchase neon orange boat shoes. "You need more color in your wardrobe" he said. I agreed and now I wear my shoes as a pop of color in my outfits.

Bag - Right now I'm loving Michael Kors. The bag I have is spacious and great to look at. One of the things I like about my bag is I can fit my daughter's things in it as well so I'm not lugging a whole bunch of things around in multiple bags.

Jeans - The distressed look is in and I adore it. I have a comfy pair from Gap that I like to throw on. It can be dressed up or down. I do plan on purchasing more.

Blazers - I was about to step out one day and I threw on a bright green blazer and I immediately remembered why I pair them with my clothes. Blazers are an instant update and you can look sophisticated or dressed down.

Accessories - Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, H&M. These are some of the stores I frequent to pick up chains, bracelets, earrings and rings. Costume jewelry is important an outfit that you may want to wear again and remix.

What are some staples you can't live without? Are there any topics you'd like me to write about? Please share in the comment section!

Salaam and Peace!

Keep it cute and classy!
