Warm Christmas Wishes from Around the Photoblogosphere

The other day, I met a friend of mine for a coffee. "I love this time of year," she said.
"I know. I especially love RIGHT NOW -- you know, when there are just a few days left before Christmas, and most of the shopping and preparations are done, and things suddenly seem to get still and quiet with ... waiting. I mean, yes, there's some last minute stuff, but school's out, and the tree's up, everything's all decorated and there's just this sort of expectation in the air ..."
"Exactly. And I'm so glad Christmas in on Friday this year, too. It's like a whole week of anticipation."
And so now here we are on Christmas Eve, and the anticipation feels like it has built to a crescendo. So to help make the time pass, I've been surfing through some of my favourite photoblogging sites, and I thought I'd share some of their beautiful, well-wishing imagery with you, as well.
Jeanine Caron wishes us all a merry Christmas, and reminds us to focus on little moments of magic amidst all the chaos.
Sarah-Ji shares her Christmas card, which features her lovely daughter eating ice cream in the cold. Nothing more bracing than that!
Amanda of Mocking Bird shows us the most perfect personification of walking in a winter wonderland.
On Pretty Good we see what it takes to get a cat to get dressed, pose and hold still for a Christmas card image.
Alicia of Bloom, Grow, Love shows us quite possibly the most perfect, bokeh-filled winter images I've ever seen.
London Rubbish shows how perfectly Christmas red looks against winter white.
Stephanie of LittlePurpleCow emphasizes how important it is for us to make room in our lives for the unexpected.
Irene Nam shares first snow in Paris.
Jaime of Rhayne shows us how heaven and nature sing.
Tartelette warms us up with a recipe for homemade hot chocolate and marshmallows; and finally...
... the always-impressive Big Picture shares snowy scenes with us from around the world!
And with that, here's wishing a very, very Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate as such, and warmest holiday wishes to those of you who don't. In this time of chaos and crazy, may you take some time to savour the quiet moments between, and enjoy the beauty of the season.
