Watch Now: The Real Katie Couric's Video Invitation to BlogHer's Community

BlogHer Original Post

Oh thank heavens, the real Katie Couric has finally been released into the wild. Check out the true confession buried in her video below ... see what I mean? Get ready for a barn-burner of a keynote at BlogHer '12 -- and read on for an opportunity to participate yourself:

Make no mistake: As a journalist, I was thrilled when Couric made history as the first woman to lead a U.S. network news show as solo primetime anchor, making her mark with critical coverage, and not just that jaw-dropper with Sarah Palin.

But the news desk format has nothing on social media, and in preparing for her new show, Katie, Couric is all over that -- on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ -- talking about everything from Anne-Marie Slaughter's opinion on working parenthood to "boyfriend Colin Firth."

SO ... let's answer her question: What do you want to know about or from Katie Couric? Spoiler: Who knows, you might even start something exciting that involves your own blog -- after all, the production team is planning a very interesting integration of women who blog and use social media, and they are on the lookout for stories. The proof is already online: The gifted Brene Brown, blogger extraordinaire, is Katie's guest August 9. So think of your question or story below as a way to introduce yourself to a program that wants a dialogue with you.

HOW TO VISIT THE SHOW: Request tickets here for live taping events that start August 8.
