I am not a nutritionist.
I am not a personal trainer.
I’m not even much of an athlete… though I’m working on that.
I’m just a regular person who was overweight my whole life, and then
changed things after I split my pants in front of a room full of people
(more on that later). That split was the proverbial straw that broke
the camel’s back and I decided I’d officially had enough of being fat.
That day I weighed 262 pounds.
Today I weigh 182 pounds.
I know what you’re thinking: That’s still overweight. Don’t worry;
I’m not done yet. In that first year following my turning point,
though, I lost 75 pounds. Even more impressive (if I do say so myself)
is that I did it naturally, through a healthy diet and exercise.
Strange but true: No drugs. No surgeries. No overly restrictive diets.
I’ve learned a lot along the way - and I’m still learning - as I
struggle to lose the next 32 pounds to get me to my goal weight of 150.
The prime objective of this blog is to keep myself motivated. However,
I sincerely hope that in motivating myself, I am able to inspire and
help others to take control of their lives and make healthy choices, so
that they, too can start living fuller, happier lives.
