We all Have a Shero, Who is Yours? #WomenInspire Blog Carnival [Call For Submissions]
March is Women's History Month, and you know what that means? The interwebs is errupting into fabulous chatter about our favorite topic: amazing women! Those of you who follow me on my personal blog, "Diaspora of Love," or on the USC School of Social Work blog, know that my favorite activity is to bring bloggers together for a cause.
I love hosting blog carnivals focused on the issues and topics that matter to you most. The best part about these blog carnivals is the wonderful community of bloggers that comes together to share their personal testimonials as they did for the suicide prevention campaign last September and in November, bloggers gathered to remind one another to be thankful every day during the#My3Thanks campaign.
This March, we invite you to share your voice once more for our “Women Inspire” blog carnival by celebrating the incredible women who inspire you to change the world for the better.
Here is how to participate in the Women Inspire Campaign:
1. Write your blog:
Use your blog to tell us how your shero inspired change—change in yourself, herself or maybe on a larger scale, such as change in your community or change for a cause. Pick one of the prompts below: She inspired me to_________by_________. She made a difference because_________. She created change in her community by_________.
2. Place the #WomenInspire Badge on your blog or website!:
Place the “Women Inspire Change” badge on your post or site using the HTML code provided on our campaign page.
3. Snap a selfie:
Take a selfie with your shero. If you don’t know her personally or if she lives on the other side of the world from you, use an image of her. This can be a printed picture, or an image on your phone, tablet, or laptop:
4. Share your blog post with us:
4. Check back:
On March 8, 2014, check out our Women Inspire Blog Carnival Roundup to read, engage and follow bloggers participating in the campaign. The most inspirational blog posts will be featured on our site starting March 31, 2014.
Want to help promote the women’s day campaign? Copy the following text into your blog post to invite your readers to participate:
