We Want to Hear From You on Upcoming Backtalks!

BlogHer Original Post

From the reaction I've gotten to the "Body Image" Backtalk it's a topic that's on everyone's mind.

Whether you're trying to lose weight, trying to gain weight, or trying to love yourself just the way you are, it is a constant struggle for all of us to look at ourselves in the mirror and not begin mentally tearing ourselves apart. I know because I do it every single time I get ready.

What is wrong with us?

I would love to get to a point where I get up in the morning, go and look at myself in the mirror and love what I see. I'm actually laughing now because getting to that point seems very, very unlikely!

If anything, the Body Image Backtalk taught me that I am far from alone.

We have even more thought provoking Backtalks coming up in the next several weeks, and we need your help to make them great! Pretty, pretty please send us your videos and/or link to posts you've written on the following topics...

  • Blogging about a special needs child. So many of you are doing this and making a real difference in how others perceive children with special needs and the families that support them. We'd love to hear your Backtalk on this subject.
  • Bullying. How have you dealt with bullies in your children's lives? Is anyone out there brave enough to admit that her child is the bully? We want to hear from you!
  • Caffeine and kids. Do you think caffeine is a problem for kids? Do you think kids are drinking too many sodas and Starbucks lattes? Sound off!

You can upload videos directly to this site or leave a comment letting me know you have a video you'd like to share and I'll get in touch with you and let you know how to get it to our editors. And if you have a great post on any of these topics, leave the link in the comments.
