Weaving Poetic Tales

We came upon our futures in fits and starts, like so many drunks wobbling along an unfamiliar alley, looking for the nearest new attraction. We came looking for what we'd become, for what we were meant to be, without looking hard to find out what we were starting with. We came, we saw, we conquered.
This theme is the premise for my poem today on Claudsy's Blog. When we allow our minds to wander from a one-word prompt that adds a fill-in-the-blank ending for the title, we're given a chance to peek inside how our minds and hearts operate on any given day. We get to see those things which concern us the most, or those which always make us laugh.
That's what happened for me this morning. Thoughts whirled, sliding over the landscape of my synapses from image to emotion to idea, and on to the next in a cascading panorama of likes, dislikes, forgotten theories, etc. I like how I put it together. I like the message that emerged.
And I think you will too. Stop by http://claudsy.wordpress.com/2012/04/12/spin-offs/
