Wedding DJ: Bialek's Music, Rockville, MD (Review)

There was so much involved in the planning of our wedding.  I really didn't know where to begin.  Never having been to a wedding in DC and never having planned a wedding, I turned to weddingwire, weddingbee, gayweddings, the knot and other such websites to read reviews for DJ's and other vendors.  When I met with the wedding coordinator at the Washington Plaza, she also had recommendations for vendors.  Our wedding coordinator has been in the business for 18 years and for most of that time she has worked with Ray at Bialek's music.  I took that recommendation to heart.  I also saw that Bialek's got excellent reviews on weddingwire.  Word of mouth coupled with great on line reviews told me it was a no-brainer to contact Bialek's.

When I contacted Bialek's via e-mail I told them up front that it was a lesbian wedding and that there would be a great range of ages at the wedding and I wanted a mix of music from the 60's to present day.  I was contacted within 24 hours by Dan at Bialek's recommending DJ Brennan Sullivan.  I looked at Brennan's reviews on weddingwire and they were spectacular.  We were able to hire Brennan for the entire event (wedding prelude music, processional, recessional, cocktail hour and reception music).

Brennan was extremely detail oriented and helpful.  We spoke on the phone and then he sent us an e-mail with sample play lists and an explanation of what he would need from us.  I loved his playlists and used them to create one of our own.  He was extremely helpful with ideas for songs during the announcement of the wedding party, the cake cutting, the bouquet toss and the last dance.  And, he was willing to get out on the dance floor and demonstrate our line dances.  We had a full dance floor for many of the early dances as well as for the line dances.  It was truly fabulous to see so many people of all ages and sexual orientations out on the dance floor for slow songs like "unforgetable" and classic songs like "YMCA".

We were very, very happy with Bialek's Music and Brennan as a DJ and would recommend them without hesitation for your next party or event!
