BlogHer Original Post
Over the past two weeks, we've shown you some great stuff on BlogHer.com, like the redesigned homepage, Sparkle and Profiles. We really appreciate all the feedback you've given us so far. We're glad to hear that the topic navigation is useful, that you love to *sparkle*, that the redesigned conferences section delights you, that you are adding yourselves to the blog directory and that you are finding other wonderful bloggers to read. And we even appreciate hearing about opportunities to make your experience on BlogHer.com better.
We still have so much to introduce you to, so how about we keep this going for another week and give you an opportunity to win your choice of a full conference pass to either BlogHer Food '11, May 20-21 in Atlanta, Georgia or our annual conference, BlogHer '11 August 5-6 in San Diego, California? We thought you might enjoy that!
Kids Give Me Hope
KidsGiveMeHope is a page dedicated to uplifting stories about children and all the ways in which they gift us with a little bit of hope each day. The GivesMeHope.com founders write: "We noticed that stories demonstrating the beauty and innocence of children did particularly well on GivesMeHope. It's only fitting that those who enjoy these specific type of stories should have their own place on the Internet!"
Own Your Beauty
Own Your Beauty is a groundbreaking, year-long movement bringing women together to change the conversation about what beauty means. Our mission: to encourage and remind grown women that it is never too late to learn to love one's self and influence the lives of those around us -- our mothers, friends, children, neighbors. We can shift our minds and hearts and change the path we follow in the pursuit of authentic beauty.
We are thrilled by how many of you have joined the Own Your Beauty movement in 2010. And we have much more coming in 2011 from our hosts, Karen Walrond, Bonnie Fowler and Caitlin Boyle, and from all of you in 2011. Please check out all the amazing posts, wall of beauty moments (and maybe share one of your own), postcards, tips and more we have so far in the Own Your Beauty Gallery. You can also take the pledge to Own Your Beauty and pick up some OYB bling for your blog. And if you are a Facebook fanatic, please consider joining our Own Your Beauty Facebook page (as well as the main BlogHer Facebook page if you haven't already).
Series and Features
If you scroll down the homepage, just below the featured member posts, you will find our Series and Features section. This is where you can read all our 12 Days of Holiday Cookies recipes and links, discover our Month of... features (this month it is Side Dishes and next month it will be Little Steps to Health and Fitness),or find lessons on How to Blog and Write (Better). As a bonus, keep an eye out for our occasional series, She vs. Her and weigh in on where you stand. We've got some juicy (but always respectful) debates coming up in 2011.
There is always so much to explore here at BlogHer.com! If you'd like a little help with that, please consider signing up for one, or all, of our newsletters so you can get highlights delivered straight to your inbox. Also, if you use Firefox you might find the BlogHer toolbar an easy (and addictive) way to keep up with BlogHer.com.
We hope you've enjoyed exploring BlogHer.com. Let us know what you are enjoying reading and discovering. Please leave us a comment below to enter to win your choice of a BlogHer Food '11 or BlogHer '11 conference pass.
