This Week (or so) In Sports

By: Sarah Topics: Sports & Fitness

A lot of things happened in sports the last week or so. Some of these events were historic and some were just embarrassing.

Let's take a look at some of the highlights.

Last weekend saw one of my favorite events of the year - the NFL draft. SportsSquee posted The Girls Guide to Football: Talking About the NFL Draft.

Jay-Z released a song about the NBA playoffs.

The Chicago Cubs got their 10,000th win.

The owner of the Columbus Blue jackets passed away. May he rest in peace.

Brad Penny hit an umpire in the neck with a pitch which rendered the official unconscious for a minute or so. (He's fine Now.)

Danica Patrick made history when she won the Japan 300.

It turns out that Roger Clemens had an affair with Mindy McCready. As if he hadn't already had enough bad press recently it turns out Mindy was 15 when the affair began. Nice. Oh right, and he was also doing it with John Daly's wife. Clemens is a real class act. (Where is that sarcasm emoticon when you need it?)

and

The NCAA added two new bowl games.

What did I miss?
