The Week, So Far- August 22nd, 2012

I hope everyone's week is going well. If not, I hope it get's better. Having a crappy week, when there are 3 days remaining, is not good!

Things are pretty busy with me but it's good!

  • My Technical Writing course is going well. Aside from feeling brain dead when my reading is complete, I'm enjoying it. I pray that when it's complete, I can apply it to real life. No, I'll do more than pray, I'll work my butt off to make sure I can use what I've learned, in real life.
  • Continuing to edit my short story. It never ends. Let's be real, I'm never satisfied!
  • I'm excited about my publishing options for my first short story. It will probably be on Kindle to start. Maybe, I'm not 100% sure yet. I'm still muddling through the fine print, terms of use, tax issues, etc. I'm nervous about exposing parts of my life, in the book. Not that I'm ashamed of my life but for the private person that I am, I will admit that I'm worried about being judged. It won't stop me from publishing but the fears are normal.
  • Kai (an indoor cat, except for her harness) had some awesome adventures on Monday, doing who knows what. The people doing some work in the basement left the screen door propped open and off she went, for an hour or so. I was surprisingly calm. I usually panic in any crisis, big or small. Hmmm, I guess that means I'm growing ;)
  • My camera is still broken, although the video recording option is still working. Camera fairy, where are you? Using my old 2.0 megapixel camera is not working at all. Especially when I need to take shots for my recipes. My favourite season (fall) is on it's way and I don't want to miss anything. Hopefully something will work out soon. Either the camera will magically fix itself or I'll come into some mad money.

*August 23rd, Thursday- International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition.*

How's your Wednesday so far? Are you loving it, or wishing for the weekend?

Till next time,

Nadia
