Can sipping a cuppa tea actually boost your weight loss? Yes, according to Dr. Mehmet Oz. He recommends the following teas for whittling your waistline and shedding pounds:
Oolong tea: This tea burns fat with its combo of caffeine and catechins. It boosts your metabolism for up to two hours after you drink it, and has polyphenols that block fat-building enzymes. An example: Foojoy Wuyi Mtn. Oolong (Wu Long) Weight Loss Tea.
Yerba mate tea has mateine. This ingredient increases your energy and improves weight loss by accelerating your metabolism. An example: Guayaki Traditional Mate Tea .
White tea contains ECGC, which helps with weight loss as well. It prevents new fat cells from forming. An example: Uncle Lee's Tea Organic White Tea.
